The Rubicon trail needs your help by March 31, 2009!
The famed Rubicon trail is in danger of being closed to wheeled motor vehicles because of supposed water quality issues.
We need your help NOW!
In order to insure access all year long on the Rubicon Trail, we need as many affidavits as possible to present to the CA Water Authority. The plan is to show that any action they take would affect other areas, and would need to be reviewed under the California Environmental Quality (CEQA) Act. The Regional Water Quality Board believes they are exempt from CEQA since their actions do not affect others – we’re showing the opposite.
Additional information about the affidavit and possible closure is available at the Pirate 4x4 site:

If you have traveled on the Rubicon trail as a driver or passenger in the last 5 years, please fill out this affidavit:

If you have never travelled on the Rubicon trail, but plan to do so in the future, please fill out this affidavit:

The document MUST be FAXED in before March 31st.
Please copy the following affidavit, print it out, sign it and date it, and then FAX it to:
888.6.RUBICON (678-2426)
Or 530-644-5234
Or 818-729-9258
Or 916-444-6915
(only send it to one number, multiple numbers provided if any of them are busy)
Thank you for taking the time to help save the Rubicon trail and keeping the trails open for all to enjoy.
